Sierra Hayre is an Artist/illustrator, author, and writer transplanted from sun and palm trees to snow and sagebrush. She paints and photographs. She finds inspiration from the world around her, from her children to the happenings of everyday life. “Art is the root word of Earth. It’s the soil for some and sunshine for most. It cultivates something inside of everyone. It speaks for the ones that can not, it shows emotions, whereas there wouldn’t be. It is tangible to our hearts, mind, and soul” Sierra says.
When she first started taking photos it was to match her late husbands’ style. But then grew into something more her own while still holding on to the spirit of Casey. This art show will be in his honor. “Grief is heavy. So many emotions with nowhere to go. Art has always been an outlet but with this new entity having the ability to do art in many different ways helps immensely. That keeps me taking photos.”
